Killer B gets some Pro love

Marcy is helping run the Disc Golf Hall of Fame Classic at the IDGC in Appling, GA today. Because she probably won't be caddying for Valarie Jenkins again this year at the Vibram Open here in MA, she helped her out for a few holes this morning to satisfy her caddying fix.

Friend of the B and #1 in the world Valarie Jenkins gives us some love!

Looks like she's also been hobnobing with other disc golf royalty. Here she is with 12-time World Champion and disc golf legend, Ken Climo. Look it her, looking all bad ass in her PDGA gear!

Marcy meets Ken Climo.

Get out and play!

My, oh my, is the weekend looking good around here! Hope you're enjoying some great disc golf weather wherever you are too.

Happy chucking from Killer B #7!

The guy who...

I guess I am now "that guy who drives around town with that metal chain thing in the back of his truck."

I brought the basket to league yesterday and sort of like the way it looks and sounds as I drive around. Putting on the go!

Looks like it could be a disc golf fifth wheel, too. It sure is getting some looks from the people coming into the plaza today. I think I'll keep it.

Jeff F. took a souvenir home from the course today. A shiv to the shin. Yum!

Disc Golf Scene: the Facebook of disc golf

Have you heard of Disc Golf Scene? It's a great site for disc golfers where you can keep track of your scores, what's in your bag, list your favorite courses and clubs, post photos, and connect with your other disc golfing friends.

I use it to manage the leagues and tournaments that I run. If you have a DGS profile, your scores and achievements are automatically posted to your page. Pretty cool.

It's also fun to see how my friends around the country are doing, but usually it just bums me out when I see that they are playing more than me!

Check it out and send me a friend request. Just search for John Borelli, Killer B Disc Golf, or Devens Disc Golf. If Facebook is more your speed, find me there.

Enjoy!

OMG, it's the sun!

The sun is out, the shorts are on, and the streetsweeper is sweeping! Let's play some disc golf today!

See you at league. 5:15 kickoff.

Am I too old to use texting language? Is that even what you call it?!

Show us your Hive!

Killer B was spotted on Chalkboard Chuck at the Monster Truck Nationals this Saturday in Lowell, MA. Yeeeeehaw!

Maybe Bigfoot needs another sponsor?

Scenes From the Front Door

WBZ Radio stopped by the Plaza this afternoon. Don't know why, but they were probably getting all the local dirt from the Paul the barber next door. He's been here a long time and knows everything and everyone.

Armando O. and Michael A., aka "Mr. Blue", stopped in yesterday to pick up some new plastic.

Don't forget, we will be closed Easter Sunday.

New wheels for the Hive

Check out our new corporate wheels. Pretty nice, eh?

King of the Hill another success!

Despite chilly temps and a constant wind, our tournament went off without a hitch.

Here are some photos from the day. Enjoy!

Bye Killer B Girls!

You'd look sad too if it was your last day of work at Killer B Disc Golf. Enjoy your new job in Georgia, Aspen!

The Killer B Girls Aspen, Neena, and Marcy hit the road this morning for Appling, GA, home of the International Disc Golf Center. Marcy starts her new job there on Tuesday. Safe travels to my girls.

My first discs!

Tyler used his allowance to buy his first two discs yesterday, a Kite and an Aviar. Have fun, Tyler!

God bless America and I-Dye

The UPS Guy dropped a bunch of new Innova I-Dye discs today. I was nervous that they'd stick me with some ugly ones but I have to say most of them are pretty sweet.

But wait! There's more!
We also got a batch of lighter discs and some 150 class discs that are great for kids, ladies, and newer players.

We've added the new floating driver Wahoo, more Vulcans, the XD putter, and restocked some lower-priced midrange discs like the Kite and Dart.

We're trying to get a bit of everything so you can round out your bag to start the season right! Come check everything out!

BTW, we will be closed Saturday. We will be at Devens disc golf course next door running our King of the Hill tournament.

Show us Your Hive!

Alan MacLean of MA sent us this photo he took on a trip to Z-Boaz Park in Dallas/Ft. Worth. Look closely and you'll see his Killer B hat in front. Thanks for spreading the Killer B love in Texas, Alan!

He writes:
When we got to hole #15 the locals (beginners) warned me that there was a fake basket and not to throw at it. This pic shows the fake “basket” which literally is 20’ to the right of the bright yellow Discatcher.

Killer B #2 is off to the PDGA!

It's official! Marcy, aka Killer B #2, is off to GA to be the new office manager for the PDGA at the International Disc Golf Hall of Fame.

Atta girl, Marcy! Taking the buzzzz South!

"I've got the bug!"

Everybody's got the disc golf bug now that it's warm and sunny again. All I heard this weekend were chains banging hole 12 behind the store. Or maybe everyone was just inspired by watching the Masters on TV?

Sunday was NH Day at the store with a bunch of Granite Staters stopping by. Eric Brooks from Contour Design in Windham, NH hooked me up with a couple of iPhone covers that his company makes. Very cool. Thanks Eric!

It was also good to see my old disc golfing buddy, Chris F'n P, as well as the growing group of locals who stop by to support the Hive.

Goodbye Winter! Hello Spring!

The robins are back. Spring is here!
It's official. I've spotted a couple of robins and Spring is here! More importantly, I'm opening the back door to the shop this weekend so you can come in directly from the course.

After deucing hole 12, look through the trees and head toward the orange traffic cones by the door, bear right at the chain-link fence, and cut through the hole in the fence about 100 ft down.

You can also park at the shop and start your round at hole 13.

Weekend hours are 10:30-6:00. Enjoy the sun and happy chucking!

This Robin has not yet appeared.

Happy Birthday!

To me. Look at the awesome cupcakes Marcy made. Spaghetti and meatballs! Very cool.

Stop by today and get one while they last!

Paws off, Aspen!

New swirly and solid Vibram discs have arrived at the Hive!

I know you were all wondering what was in the big box from yesterday's Scenes from the Front Door. It was a bunch of Vibram VP, Ridge, and Summit putters and Ascent drivers.

There are some really great designs and colors in this batch. They just keep getting better and better at Vibram!

Let me know which color and design is your favorite by leaving a comment here.

The small box contained printer toner. Not as exciting, I know.

Scenes from the Front Door

What goodies did the UPS Guy bring me today? And what's the deal with the orange cones and flags across the street? There's a guy in a hardhat and orange vest walking around.

My neighbor Paul the Barber tells me they are checking the ground water. "They're poisoning us all!" Let's hope not, but it is an old gas station so who knows what's over there.

Mommy, where do hotstamps come from?

Chris Myers from Zing Mini Flyers sent me this photo of the die used to make our Killer B minis. Pretty cool, eh?

Busy busy

Wow, what a day! Non-stop golfers coming in pre-, mid-, and post-round today. I had a feeling things would be busy today when I let the dogs out this morning and it was sunny and 45 already.

It was great seeing and meeting everyone. Thanks for coming by!

Max and Zack Burwick, Adam Morrison, and Joe McManus were overcome with plastic joy.
